Dawn Sleeps With ATI - Radeon R3x0 Dawn OpenGL Wrapper

wow this thread still going!?

hello everybody

Seems so, I got shocked when I saw the notice in my e-mail.

I guess requests for the nude patch/tweak will be next

Work great with Cat6.4 and x1900xtx :)
Just copy:

- StartDawn.exe
- HookDawn.dll
- opengl32.dll

to Dawn/bin folder, you don't need old ATI OpenGL driver. (demo crash if atioglxx.dll is installed)

"StartDawn args_ultra.txt" starts Dawn in Ultra Mode

You can download these files from "rage3d.com/articles/atidawning/" page.
(use google cache if you can't access this page)

x64 Problem?

x64 Problem?

I can't seem to get the demo to run on my comp. Running Windows x64 and have a Radeon X800GTO. I'm pretty sure that the problem lies with it being x64. A dll incompatibility? I have opengl32.dll, and the wrapper from madshi in place. I get the NV_POINT_SPRITE error when I run it. I'm guessing it's not seeing the wrapper properly... if that's the case, any idea how to compile an x64 version of the dll?

I don't think it'll work with newer (than 5.x) drivers.

That blows, so 6.x catalysts are out of the question. I read through alot of the thread but didn't see anything about it. Anybody else have problems with 6.x? or anybody get it working on 6.x?

Sorry for the necroposting, but I am working on a documentary and since I don't have a Radeon 9800 Pro nor an Windows XP machine in my possession, I was wondering if there's a way to get a new wrapper for this demo to work on an AMD GPU?

OMG best one yet I think... this is super necro woop!

I think your best bet would be to find some very old cheap hw on ebay. Like my sisters antiquated pc... dont know why she wont buy a new one shes a doctor...

I might have one of these lying around. I'm not sure if it's the right card, (I have a lot of old junk around here.) but on its board is this number: pn 109-a07500-00

Is that it?

The serial number seems correct for a 9800 Pro. But I don't think it'll be financially beneficial purchasing it from you given the shipping costs involved.

Well, I was going to send it just for the shipping costs. But a quick look tells me the cheapest to Canada is about $15 and takes a couple of weeks. I assume you don't want to hold up your work for that long.
