Very Nice! Good work dude.

Seems that Honsy and BugSmashR have stepped it up and if Hotwired can get his reworked machine up and rocking I'll have 3 people on my ass.

The race is on! Come and get me! :twitch:

Oh... and I just stepped into 7th place passing How??? :D

go BugSmashR! 160k on christmas eve, and >120k before and after... looking at 130k to 140k ppd.

also AnabolTheCannibal looks to be greatly increasing production, going from ~12k ppd to ~65k ppd!

still very much under construction ,waiting on dual bay dual pump for one loop and another quad rad. goal is to get 100000 ppd under 30 db with one machine ugg its a mess but its working . dang honsy on my but

sorry for the iphone pics cant find my Kodak cord and I don't have a mem card reader yet dang parts ,anyway hope you enjoy.

4.6 is I think the safe 24/7 max as anything over that gets nuts for 24/7use.I did bench at 4.9

Very nice setup hotwired. Crazy amount of space in the box too. :)

Is that one of your 580's in there that's water cooled or another card?

Picked up another GTX 670 on Boxing Day for ~$320 (13% tax included) and it's paired with my other GTX 670 sitting in my FX-8150 dedicated folding rig.

Got my fx 8150 up to a disappointing 4.4Ghz stable OC. Can't get it any higher without random BSoD's. Memory is stable but it's just the 8150 that's having issues. 4.5Ghz is running at only about 63c so it's not the temp and I'm worried about adding too much voltage to it (about 1.35 right now). Oh well.

This box is pulling in about 85k to 90k PPD so I'm pretty happy with it so far. :D

Also tweaked a server at work that's running Windows. It's got 24 threads available but when I configure F@H to use all 24 threads it gets about 10k to 12k PPD. If I cut F@H back to use just 12 threads the PPD jumps to over 20K PPD. SMP folding doesn't look to scale very well - at least in Windows.

It's good to see the team PPD up over 1.4M again.

Happy new year everyone!

i'm not sure about the 8150s, but my 32nm sandy bridge chips are 1.38 to 1.4v, running just fine.

if 1 thread is being hit hard by another process, all other threads will have to wait on it, bringing down ppd substantially. try running 20 or 22 threads, and see how it does.

It does seem that I was being very conservative with the volts of the 8150. I just found this:

http://sites.amd.com/us/Documents/AMD_FX_Performance_Tuning_Guide.pdf

Looks like the max volts is 1.5 and the guide says that at 4.5Ghz I should be at around 1.35 volts - which I'm just at. So, going to add some more juice and see what the temps get to.

Going to try your suggestion with the server and threads... The only thing is there is almost no other workload on the box at all. There is a nightly backup that runs for maybe 30 minutes and that's it. But I will try it and see because I should be getting more PPD out of that box than I am.

no pressure. :bleh:

None at all ;) I had actually planned on cutting back when I hit 100mil, but since I can still afford my electric bill I've kept them running. Also, the 3 in the garage keep it from freezing during the winter :D

I will celebrate when you pass me in a few months
