My boss just handed me a 960GB Samsung PM863 SSD to have. Will be installing it tonight.

I can finally install games on an SSD.:)

I remember micro-managing a Windows / games / programs installation on a 120 GB Vertex 2

Now with 512 GB dedicated to Steam, it kicks so much ass not bothering with the space left

What did you do to your boss to get this :bleh:

Just a hard worker. :)

We are a Samsung partner and get testing samples from time to time and when he has extras he hands them out to employees that want them. I mentioned a while back I wanted a 1TB SSD if he ever has any to give. Just a little bonus for working here.

Hoping for a Skylake CPU next, but they are low availability at the moment.

It's the standard SATA3 6G.

Anyways it's not the speed, it's the fact it's an enterprise class data center drive. Not just a consumer desktop drive.

Should prove much more reliable.

Nice speeds Sazar!

And nice pick up Meteor, beautiful gaming drive. If I was given a 1TB SSD for free like that, I'd throw it in my PS4.

No comments about my speeds :( Not like they're the fastest in the thread or anything.. :bleh: 480GB drive at 2000MB/s! Awww Yeeeeeah *touches nipples* :masterrace:

Haha it's just a joke dude. He posts advertising shots and brags about dual xeon motherboards he doesn't own yet in the 'post pics of your computer' thread, defeating the purpose of the thread. :p

Like Cavey said, run what yer brung! It's all good man, just stirring you up.

Yeah I have Shadow on ignore still so I see nothing.

I've actually been able to pre-order the 950 pro already at the local shop. 200 less then what I paid for the SM951. NVME, lower power and it's actually supported by Samsung so it will work with Magician and I'll be able to secure erase. Plus it doesn't have the heat issue that the SM951 has.

I'll be giving away the SM951 to anyone who wants it once the new drive arrives.
