Cyberland has reported that the GTX 980 Ti release has been allegedly set to April 2015 by Nvidia following reports and rumors that the upcoming flagship video has been delayed to 2016

It should be noted though that the GTX 980 and 970 8GB variants have no release date as of the moment.

It will also come in the market in 6 GB and 8 GB memory varieties.

Its GPU will reportedly have a code name of GM200-300-A1. This will allegedly have 20 SM activated with 2560 Shader Processing Units. It will also have 150 TMUs as well as 96 ROPs on top of a 384-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5.

£300 is the most I'll pay for a GPU, I'm quite happy to sit on my GTX 970 until the £300 GTX 1070 arrives or whatever the next lot will be called.

I hear you. £300 is about my target price too. Sadly I invested in a 780OC just before the 970 and 980 were released which cost me £320. My only logical upgrade now would be a 980, but I won't pay £400+ for one.

Well the Ti will be about $1000 or just under so yeah, GFY NV :bleh:

There's also a second revision of the current cards so maybe they'll unlock that extra 500mb. Oh wait it is.

like last time (680) there won't be a 980 ti
there will be a cut down titan 2 after they milk the titan 2

but will most likely be a gtx 1080 and then a 1080 ti, wonder if they to will have two memory pools :hmm:

Driving me a little insane that no one can lock down a date on the 980 Ti's. Have almost pulled the trigger on two 980s multiple times now.

I am contemplating getting a third 980 since Hardline as well as some other titles struggle at 4K with just SLI. But the 4GB Vram is what's holding me back at the moment.

Want to see the 980Ti/Titan 2 but if this is true, late 2015/2016 I might as well just grab a third 980...

Good question.

I think it is. It's possible the Ti will be on the big maxwell instead. Time will tell.
