Yes that alone has been the criticism for the game. They should have taken a page from movies or DC Injustice games where loot actually motivates you to do something. Here it is completely nonsensical. Anyways I only watched videos. Will pick it up after reading reviews. I would have loved iron man suits of all types not using the same suit like all the frickin’ time.
 
I wonder if disney™ is reason why there are no cosmetic differences, didn't dice run into something similar with their starwars titles?
 
No clue man. There’s just something...off. Maybe it’s the loot. It’s like I’m getting stronger but I have no visual cue that anything has changed.

Kinda bummed. Still gonna keep playing for the weekend and see if my mind changes. If not, canceling the pre-order. Game could have been awesome but it just seems lackluster and kinda boring to me.
 
The cosmetic challenge is not something new.

Crystal Dynamics has addressed this before, with senior producer Rose Hunt saying that the team thought players, “would rather have the visuals that we're pulling from the comic books or the original suits that we're making up, rather than have a bunch of attachments on the outside of it making them look not as cool.”

Well they thought wrong, lol.

The enemies in the beta are super generic, powers are...eh. Everything is just kinda “meh” with nothing being GREAT. There wasn’t a single time I went “AWESOME!” the entire time... and I have an Avengers themed leg sleeve :lol: That should say something.
 
Sadly I'm not sure how lucky you will be with getting a Refund, Sony is the 2nd worst when it comes to refunds, being almost never, while Nintendo is just Never.
 
Yeah, I’ve read horror stories already from people who have tried with this game. I don’t even care if they just give me PSN credit, if I decide I don’t want a game, that I haven’t even played (beta access does not count) then I should be entitled to a refund.
 
This game is janky as ****. I can’t believe Crystal Dynamics got it so wrong. Still will buy if reviews say that the original storyline is worth something. Playing with Iron Man is painful. :nope:
 
It’s pretty bad, and no refund for me.

The only one I had fun playing was cap, and he’s not in the demo apart from the intro mission. I checked out the video for “Gotham Knights” and how the hell does a pre-alpha have better graphics, a more interesting boss fight, and better looking combat than game :nuts:
 
The fights are endless grind. You just change the characters but the controls are exactly the same. The supers also feel so underpowered. I played for 2 hours last night and it was unbearable. I felt my fingers were twisted after button mashing. Nothing has a feel to it like damage or impact. Everything is just blowing up. Even petty characters take ages to kill. The aiming is so bad as well. Just all around terribad game. I don't know why anyone would play it.

Btw my PS4 sounded like a jet engine in many of the scenes and it was distracting as well. Glad I didn't pre-order this. I see some sense in running through it in co-op but other than that I really don't see the fun part in the game. :nuts:

I really hope story is good so I can play it when it is half price or something. Also am thinking it is geared towards micro transactions bullshit.
 
Definitely feels much more playable and controls are more responsive than beta. Plus there are actually tons of costumes, something I was worried about. Might be worth it for a romp.
 
Yeah yeah, I’m playing through it too when I can. It’s better than the beta, but I’m still not feeling the gear system.
 
Game looks blissful on an OLED my whole family watched me play the intro levels. However, my PS4 was so loud I had to raise TV volume to 50 just to understand what people were saying. I hate the PS4 Pro fan whine all the time.

Hope they have fan noise figured out with the ps5. Not confident though as it sounds like they have gone with up to 6 smaller fans. Can't wait for a tear down of the systems cooling solution.
 
I don’t know. It just feels like a very average game the more I play it. I am just not feeling the gameplay. However, story is interesting and has me hooked. I think I will just do main campaign and forget about the rest.

I hear you :) . Some of the other modes use ai companions and we both know how that usually turns out :p
