New MS Flight Simulator (2020)

Very nice! I enjoyed playing all the Microsoft Flight Simulator Series.

I remember being 8 years old and my mom got me Flight Simulator 3.0 for my birthday. I was thinking "what the **** is this? I wanted Microprose Gunship! not Microsoft Flight Simulator."

Played it, and got hooked ever since.

damn, total hard drive space required must be massive...

Now give me that world GTA style... ... with VR...

Damn that looks hot. Is this going to be a regular buy and play game or is it buy and pay for 1000s of different DLC packs?

Flight Simulator on XBox?
Arcade Garbage Expected. Would like to be proven wrong, but expectations set somewhere between Garbage Dump and earths mantle

I hope MS has their sh*t together this time. Do not want flop like FLIGHT.

If they didn't listen to the flight sim'er crowd, this game will fail harder than Derek Smart on Cialis piloting Battlecruiser 3000AD.

I didn't see anything stating it was coming to PC. Is this Xbox only?

EDIT: I think I read elsewhere that it is PC. I REALLY hope MS doesn't **** this up.

It's on PC, the Xbox logo is because it will also be available through the Xbox Game Pass on PC as well. And based on some FSX 3rd party devs having been talking about secret projects wrapping up recently there's a good chance they've already got access to the engine and/ or have contributed to the base product. I think it's safe to move expectations up a few pegs but still keep them tempered.

Looks pretty but I'll hold off until we know more about content and business model.

FSX still has enough content for me despite it's age. Add XP11, DCSW and IL2 and I'm not sure how much room I have for another flight sim, especially given how fast Flight was abandoned by MS.

Powered by Xbox and Azure, so they will stream it from the Xbox cloud. Wondering what kind of connection will be needed or will they buffer regions to make sure the performance is good in 4k.

Doesn't that just mean that they're using azure servers for the online portion just like they do for all other xbox titles that requires dedicated servers?

I'm already looking forward to ground vehicle mods and those awesome days of "drive anywhere, fly anywhere" scenarios I used to do with FSX and prior, especially since all the main roads were dead on accurate.
