Nvidia RTX DLSS/Ray Tracing Discussion

Been fooling around the last few hours with the new DLDSR feature in the 511.23 driver that was in the latest Cuda download. There is more DSR quality but having a 4K monitor anything over 4k -- like 5k range is more out-of-reach for me and would need a higher end Ampere Gpu. These new DLDSR abilities are very nice for 1080p and 1440p, desktop and laptop gamers with midrange to entry level gpu's where the efficiency would really help to me.

One can use DLSS and DLDSR in conjunction and you can enable the DLDSR or the original DSR settings as well.

Fooling around with the SSRTGI filter -- big to huge hit so far -- but has a lot of flexibility with the settings. Wonder how it performs with a RTX 3090?

Here is a shot in Mafia 2 comparing X4 DSR compared to X2.25 DLDSR with a RTX 3090:

Nice the only thing i can say is text readability is better slightly on the DLDSR image. Mebbe the AA is also slightly better on DLDSR as well.

Saw a screenshot of Horizon Zero Dawn and the trees in the background had leaves compared to a pixel clump :D

It's not showing up in my filters list, what am I doing wrong? What are the steps to enable?

I tried Rise of the Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed 3 and was listed, some others they're not. Hopefully Nvidia will make a list.

I've tried 6 or 7 games, no SSRTGI filter listed :(

Unfortunately I don't have either of those games Pauly.

Definitely need a list of SSRTGI supported games.

edit/ Just to be clear, you just press alt+F3 and the filter should appear in the drop down list if game is supported?

For now, we should get a list going in here if you come across support.

Confirmed support [?]

Prey
Assassins Creed 3
Rise of the Tomb Raider

Any others you can think of?

After witnessing the performance hit with just the low setting, never mind the Ultra setting kinda lost my excitement of hunting for titles and realized, I need a new GPU very soon.

Hrmm tried Oblivion because it was a quick download and even though it's on their list, it doesn't really work. There are artifacts around god rays and performance hit is huge with very little benefit. Will try Witcher 3 later.

I actually got the reshade version working in several titles a couple years ago with fantastic results. Star Wars Battlefront looked absolutely fantastic with SSGI. Bit disappointed with this geforce experience implementation so far.

Just tried to see if the feature filter is in Tomb Raider Game of the Year Edition and it was. The performance hit strangles my excitement. Maybe I'll try a much lower resolution and see what kind of quality the filter may offer.

Don't you have a 3070 !___!

Also don't forget Rise and Shadow have DLSS 2 so mebbe you can claw back some of that performance :3

I'm on last generation -- RTX 280S. It's just not the performance hit but artifacts as well. Just tried playing Tomb Raider GOTYE with the filter and there were odd anomalies like halo outlines. Needs maturing!
