Just another Troll
Nvidia shares fall after Morgan Stanley says the performance of its new gaming card is disappointing:

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/20/nvi...nley-calls-new-gaming-card-disappointing.html

"Morgan Stanley says the gaming performance of Nvidia's latest graphics card is below its expectations.
In August, Nvidia announced its new eighth-generation Turing graphics architecture. Technology media outlets published reviews on the company's first gaming cards based on the new chips Wednesday morning.
"As review embargos broke for the new gaming products, performance improvements in older games is not the leap we had initially hoped for," Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore said in a note to clients on Thursday. "Performance boost on older games that do not incorporate advanced features is somewhat below our initial expectations, and review recommendations are mixed given higher price points."

Nvidia shares closed down 2.1 percent Thursday."

me not buying one will help as it is all I can do

if sales are sh*t on the new cards they will drop prices

I dont think this is necessarily true; Nvidia priced their FX 5 series cards on par/ higher than ATi when it was inferior to ATi's offering of 9xxx series of cards.

IIRC the 5800ultra was 400 at launch at a time when the 9700 pro was available for 350 or less.

If they can get the new tech up and running you know we'll all be after their cards again :-), DLSS for performance and ray tracing. you know they are going to have all our money once again.

Till then my 1080Ti will do just fine.

Speak for yourself. NVidia is not getting my money. Since 2008 they have not gotten a cent from me.....

Well in that case they where never going to get your money. If you want to back the donkey in a horse race that's completely up to you.

IF they get DLSS popular the cards will be about 60+% faster than the 1080Ti, double the performance in some cases. Which in turn will make Ray tracing perform faster. I'm not sure if people realise what an amazing performance they have using Ray Tracing. It's a massive achievement.

The problem I have is not the price but the fact it's if's and maybe's. I'm not rushing out to buy one, But I'm certainly not ruling it out either.

I hope you buy a lot of lube for taking what the horse in that race is dishing out.

Nvidia needs to be brought down to earth.

Won't need any, I'm not buying one. But I love how people are kicking them moving things along. Without waiting to see what they actually can do once they are developed for.

IF they are impressive once up and running properly. £1,100 is nothing to me.
