pics of the GameCube, hardware, controllers etc...

From what i've heard is that nintendo is planning to make a classic compilation from NES and SNES onto a CD, like 50 to 100 games on a disc (it could hold more of course)

One thing I would really like to see now that Nintendo is switching to a disk format (finally) would be demo disks. Wouldn't it be nice to have game demo disks included in magazines? I'm not sure how expensive their propriety disks cost but I heard it's about the same as DVD disks. Come on Nintendo make it so!

oh man how crazy would that be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats reason enough for me to buy a gamecube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!

mouse, its up to the developers but i can assure you it will happen. the gamecube optical disc cost less to manufacture than a DVD, so its not different from the ps2 or xbox demos. Developers like capcom/konami/namco etc etc will surely have demos included with their games.

As for a demo disc in the package, miyamoto said he's interested to pack in a few technical demos with gamecube, similar to mario128 at spaceworld.
He also said that he's considering making director's cut on many of his games now with this medium.

Heck i even heard that Luigi's mansion would be packed in at launch, nintendo CAN afford it with this disc. That would be a good move towards the good old SNES days :)

A good way to promote games is to allow people to play a demo of the game. I'm sure Nintendo Power would increase subscriptions if they included demo disks with their mag to subscribers.

Oh the disk format opens so many possibilities. I can't wait for something like Donkey Kong Country All-Stars. Tweak the graphics and sound and include lost levels and other bonus goodies.

Kid Icarus Returns!

Kid Icarus Returns!

If GameCube releases this game I for sure am sold. GB line up just continues to grow with quality titles.....

In a recent interview with IGNcube, Nintendo's general manager and director Satoru Iwata, formerly of HAL, hinted that there are many secret characters in the GameCube fighter Super Smash Bros. Melee. The hint came in response to a question which asked if we would see the beloved NES angel Pit from Kid Icarus in the next-generation title.
Going over our Electronics Entertainment Expo GameCube footage this afternoon, we may have stumbled upon the proof that Pit from Kid Icarus is indeed being reborn on Nintendo's new home console. A screenshot snapped from one of the game's trophy menus below:

While this image doesn't prove that Pit is playable, it's a validation that developer HAL has at least considered the possibility. And, when we weigh in mind that far less known characters like the Ice Climbers are indeed featured, we believe it's very safe to assume that Pit from Kid Icarus is making a genuine comeback at long last.
