Rage golfers?

Well done. I seem to play better in late summer... but not today.

Golf: a recurrent kick in the ball sack.

On a sweeter note, my league team is in the finals. Shooting for our 5th championship after a 13 year drought.

Another loss. 8 man team for the finals and we loss by one hole. I played like crap. Golf sucks.

Last Sunday night I did a stupid and tripped over a pool umbrella in the dark, that I had laid down earlier because it was so windy. I went into low-earth orbit and came down hard on the pool (textured) coolcrete. I've had a right hip replacement, so this sort of thing can be hazardous. However, everything went away after a few days except left groin stiffness and tenderness, so I either strained something sacroiliac-related or just a good old fashions sports hernia.

tl;dr: Bad fall hit hard so no golf. As bad as golf sucks, this sucks moar. The weather has been fantastic. Glad we left the pool open.

JZL Did you fully recover? Hate to see someone have to quit golf all together.

I moved to a new house and golf club. New place is windy links style and I have mostly played parkland previously.
Broke 80 for the first time today at the new club. Feeling good for many reasons, most of all because old club raised membership 50%.

I recovered enough after a couple weeks to finish the season.
However, the fall exacerbated a pre-existing condition with my left hip that began slowly a few months prior. So I'm going to need a left hip replacement. At least these days there is a cortisone shot they give you right in that joint using a fluoroscope to place the needle tip. Damn that was nice but it slowly wore off after a couple months.

Congrats on breaking 80. My plan is to start with the short game as soon as I can. The surgery isn't until mid-March so I'll miss a big hunk of the season. Ratfack!
