RX 580 Out Now

I found a review from 2016 ... Look at GTA5 mins at 1080p and 1440p (the reds) ... This kind of stuff i am referring. There were other situations when this scenario apeares but i don't remember all the websites...

Badsykes why are you dredging up this old sh*t. As bill said it was a driver issue because if you recall when Fury launched there was a hullabaloo about how it performed badly against the 980/ti in 1080 but caught up in 1440p and even beat the Ti occasionally in 4k. What you posted just proves that. This was mainly fixed in later driver releases and TBH I don't see any issues whatsoever with my Fury Pro in any of those games I own.

This low fps problems still exists when rx480 apeared.

I did a thing.

Got me a bit of a side grade while waiting for Vega. Coming from a GTX 970 that pissed me off to no end it's nice to have decent frametimes and smooth gameplay for the first time in quite a few months.

Barely getting started poking about it's bits. All I can say is this is a way better experience than I have been having with my 970 for the past year or so. Not sure what the fudge Nvidia has been doing with drivers but no amount of DDU'ing, clean installing, reseating and tweaking has given me any respite. Not even the overclock on my 970 could save me. I think after 15 years with Nvidia it is time to give them a "well deserved" break from my main rig.

Dude.. Where in the heck did you find an RX580? lol.

Vega from what I have been told by my AMD source (sorry, not Jim.. lol).. mid-LATE July.

but yea, I am running a 780Ti and it would seem.. Nvidia's cards can't do DX12 worth ****. I run DX11 mode, and its smooth as butter. DX12.. stutters and screen freezes galore.

Frankly, Nvidia just can't do DX12. (and I even tried bumping my clocks back up to 5.2Ghz just to see if I was CPU bound) and no change other than total CPU usage dropped to mid 50% from 65-70%.

780Ti clocks- 1,315Mhz core, 1815Mhz VRAM, GPU usage on maps like Amiens on BF1 (64 player, ultra settings, 1080p) 60-80%. Rarely ever see 100%. VRAM is pegged.

http://www.jet.com Nabbed it for $276 shipped pulled the trigger on Tuesday and it arrived Saturday afternoon.

They're all gone except for a MSI 580 4 GB that is currently selling for a lollerskates price of $388 cause you know reasons.

Nice little racket jet.com has going for them by the way. I got the card for 260 bucks (down from $293 using promio code spring15 which took off 15% of the price) then they nailed me for 15 bucks in taxes but the shipping was free. This puppy shows up yesterday afternoon and what do you know shipped in a Newegg box complete with Jet.com letter headed Newegg printed invoice  :bleh2:

Not that I'm complaining since the card was out of stock everywhere due to cryptocurrency miners. I got extremely luck and fed up with my 970 at just the right time.

You have a source? Spill it out :bleh:

Congrats Seyiji; it's a great card. Enjoy :)

Hes technically not on the graphics side of AMD. He is on the CPU side. He is from NY. Masters in Electrical Engineering/Embedded Systems from the University of Pennsylvania- SEAS.

The 290x in my main rig bit the dust yesterday so although I was waiting for Vega it now became time to bite the bullet and fast.
Enter a search for RX 580. Well.. lots of models but very few in stock up here in the frozen north. Ended up with the Asus Strix in the first post and it's total shipped cost was just under 400 bucks. This is a competitive price actually everyone had the same amount with a 20 rebate. :/
On the bright side it should run cooler and use less power than my 290x did.

Jeez, altcoin miners ruining graphics card prices again... $400 Canadian is a good deal? that's like $300 US. These cards are supposed to cost $200-250. I suppose in light of the current situation wherein they're virtually impossible to find, and if you do find one it will almost surely cost over $300 US, actually finding one for $300 US is a good deal. I think for that price I would go for a used 1070 or spend a bit more on a new one. It is a much faster card afterall.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, new hardware is always exciting for the owner.

You're right, certainly not cheap, the cheapest is $275 (4G) and mine is the most expensive @ 369 (after ASUS rebate). Out of the 12 listed on the website only 4 are in stock and not all four are available online. Slim pickins at the moment. I checked 4 online stores and it's the same availability issue.

and why dose it always go nuts on a AMD card release ? :(

maybe this will help
Bitcoin correction sees nearly $4 billion wiped off value of the cryptocurrency as price falls 19%

but the US really needs to outlaw all this altcoin crap

Back on topic.. ...cough...
At 30cm it's looong and 3 slots wide it was a tight fit but it installed with no problems and working without a hiccup using 17.5.2 driver on win10 x64.
Gotta love it when new hardware works like it's supposed to.

You got one?

If so any pics? Also if so update your system specs :3

If I was AMD right now, I'd be a little worried. If these miners keep buying up all the retail RX580 supply... Its gonna result in a shift to Nvidia for gamers and hurt the market share divide. If I was AMD, at the time Vega launches.. I'd place a 2 per household limit for the first 30 days on the cards. (not, 2 per order.. but literally.. 2 per household.)

Even Newegg is removing alot of the RX580s from their listings because they are not getting replies from manufacturers on being restocked. XFX said.. 1-2 Weeks. (so, Newegg yanked them..)..

wow

The only item in stock is the MSI at the staggering price of 399$ ... Seems the mining is reborning on VGA...
On Amazon US the AMD cards RX580 / Rx480 are pretty expensive imo...The price is inflated by something ...
In UK / Europe the situation is similar...

Most cards out of stock and some on pre-order ... wow...
Nice sales for AMD GPU for a gpu that's a just a higher frequecy ...
Nvidia can't beat AMD at mining with ALL their R&D budget ... Same happened with 290 series and now with the "cheap" rx 580 that's basically a faster 290x :)
Freaking ironic ... I think Raja knew something :)

At the same shop the gtx 1060 situation is ... normal ...

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/search?sSearch=gtx+1060

Defintely AMD is on the wave ...
