The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Got it up and running here, runs beautifully at 4300x1800 internally. Also found a mod to remove breakable weapons. I may actually play the game now lol

I really hated the breakable weapons at first, but as the game progresses it isn't so bad.
I'd suggest the mod that doubles the weapons durability more than totally unnreakable.

If you use cemu, you can manually disable weapon degradation completely. Imo it does not make the game ridiculously easy. I've been playing with this enabled, plus the Linkle mod . Btw has anyone heard of a graphics preset that renders the game in celshade?

Weapon degradation is a critical part of the game. Might as well play in God mode! Want high level weapons? Fight high level monsters. Or explore and find hidden chests throughout the world.

Weapon degradation is much less of a nuisance once you find the Master Sword since it never breaks.

Also, once you break into the main castle and do the shrine, you can always return and farm the rooms with the best weapons/shields/bow. Really there's no reason to use an unbreakable weapon mod, it will take too much soul away from the game.

I am sorely lacking hearts in this game :(

I beat the game on switch ages ago. I downloaded a 100% save just so I can run around. Im going to look into bringing my own save into the game but I didnt have time yesterday.

The game runs amazing. Man if Nintendo didnt have their own consoles and released their games on PCs they would kill the market with sales.

It just transforms it into a normal rpg imo. No different than a skyrim or fallout game now. I still lose hearts, and even die sometimes. I just don't enjoy the whole item degradation forced upon me. With this mod, its not. However I respect your opinion on the matter.

I don't think the weapon degradation is as bad as it seems, maybe early on when you have no weapon space and no master sword but once you load up on that its not a big deal imo.

I guess it also helps that I don't actually go chasing monsters and fight a whole lot, so my pack is chock full of weapons. I find the need for arrows a bit more valuable, so im trying to stockpile that. Ive got plenty of regular arrows but I want more bombs and fire arrows!

I'm on my second Divine Beast, revealed most of the map, and haven't gone for the master sword or the central tower. There's two weapons I'm holding on to for dear life, a fire sword (So I can explore really cold regions without potions) and an ice sword (for really hot regions).

Also never used the light-scale trident. Don't want to lose it. If there was a mod that made unique weapons unbreakable, I'd use that, but the overall mechanic has grown on me in this game.

You can repair the trident, you know.

seems like all the 'unique' items that you get from the major characters (like the trident) can be repaired/remade.

You'll come across those particular elemental weapons as you explore, so its not a big loss if you lose them, but they don't show up all that often so don't lose em if you want them lol.

Heck buy the house from the one town and store them there if you want lol.

It's not the same item. Effectively the same, but different name.
And yes, once you complete the quest line to build the town you can get everything back that you lose. I've barely started that quest line though.
(Have finished my house though)

The Ceremonial trident is the one that's similar (and weaker).

The light scale trident is the one you get for defeating the divine beast.

Both can be reforged if lost/destroyed. Reforging the light scale trident is of course going to be more expensive and require higher end materials.
