When wifey and I saw Tenet at the theater last September, there were trailers for those movies and we got psyched-- but alas, noper.

These are theater-worthy films, too. :(

It was supposed to be out in theaters last summer after the first delay. They've just been sitting on it since. Now the release is July 2nd. That's a two year delay from the original planned release of July 12th 2019 :nuts:

Going to have to wait 45 days after the theatrical release date to stream it (via Paramount+) if you don't want to go to the theater.
 
World has gone to shite and there are some seriously shitty movies being released. Coincidence?

I haven't seen any of the Kong/Godzilla movies in this movie universe. Watching them now to prepare to watch Kong vs Godzilla, subscribed to HBO Max for a month.
 
I guess there's still some discussion about Black Widow, whether it will be a theater exclusive or will come simultaneously to Disney+.

As to whether it’s a theatrical exclusive, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek said that will be “a last-minute decision” and “flexibility” would be key.

I hope they do a simultaneous Disney+ option. Since we have small children at home, it's tough for me and the wife to leave the house to go see a movie. I'd almost always prefer to stream movies to my home theater. We paid the $30 to stream Raya, and it was a good experience. I'd be happy to pay the same to see Black Widow.

I'll wait to view Black Widow at home either way. Not a fan of theaters, even pre-pandemic.
