Yeah it's a Netflix movie but Scott Manley was consulted on it and he did a video about his parts where he mentioned they took a plot device from "The Cold Equations" which was one of my most favorite Twilight Zone eps.

One of King's better books. I have low expectations for all movies based on his novels, though. 90% of them have been trash.

That’s true, hence the “Please be good!” I really enjoyed the original, maybe because Barrymore was just so endearing as a kid and George C Scott did an excellent job…so I can only hope this one at least meets the bar that one set.
