Uncharted 2 Metacritic 9.8 so far !

Is it worthwhile picking up UC1 ? I finished UC2 a while back and really enjoyed it and it looked amazing, not sure if UC1 would be a let down after that ?

Just as good. Awesome story as well.

If you liked Uncharted 2, you NEED to play the first one. :)

In some respects, I find the first more beautiful and more fun. It seems to have been made naturally, with no effort whatsoever (I realize this is not true)

While the second feels the need to shove everything good in your face, the first lets you see its beauty. Or at least, that's how I felt playing them.

They're both gorgeous games that deserve at least a rental.

Traded a guy on craigslist my 360 for his ps3 - then went to a used disc place and traded in a bunch of dvd's (now that I'll be going to blu-ray) and with the credit got this game..they actually had one copy used .....I was surprised.

Man, I'm a biased PC gamer that usual hates console games, from the controllers to the graphics but having played Uncharted 2 now for a bit more than an hour I'm completely blown away.

These are some damn nice graphics for a pc game, let alone a console.

Game play is fun.

Yes the story is a bit predictable and corny, but who cares? It's still a blast to play.

Ok, back to playing after I make a new ps3 thread. :bleh:

Well, I'm 76% in and I'm disappointed. Great game, but I'm disappointed that it's coming to an end soon.

Easily the best game I've played in a long, long time. And for a PC biased guy for me to admit that a console game is  is just

But I admit it, this game blows away anything I've touched on the PC in the last two years at least. Even graphically it looks better than a lot of PC stuff out there....just an overall great game.

Welcome to the light...

Uncharted 2 is an amazing game. I am going to replay both games for sure and hence, I have kept them in my collection.

Y'know I had a 360 and held Gears of Wars 3rd person nuts for a while, but this game blows Gears and Gears 2 out of the water in every way. Gears is still a great series, great games, but man....this is just

I dont end up finishing many games, but I did finish Uncharted2.. if you have a PS3 you must play it.

Anyone noticed that all the "super graphics" games on the PS3 all kinda look the same? MGS4, FFXIII, Uncharted 2... all the same visual style...

The environments look fantastic and the geometry is really high, but the characters look like dolls?

Anyways, its not much of a complaint. Before these games, people didn't even look like dolls; they looked like fuzzy blobs :p

to be honest i didn't find MGS 4's graphics to be that ground breaking, Its a very good game but it looks fairly average in some area's. I even tried messing with the sharpness on my HDTV and it hardly made all much difference.

Some parts did look nice though, and mainly the cool cutscenes parts in the plane etc were all done with in game graphics.

It's a limitation of api.

Most xbox 360 games look the same as well. Most PC games ported over look the same.

If you use one API, you're eventually going to notice the glitz is all the same, you can only push the lighting so far, make the textures so detailed, before you hit limitations of the system.

This is the case with consoles in general. If you look back all ps2/xbox/gamecube games look the same, there's that one that stood out for it's time, but in retrospect you notice it's all basically the same thanks to limitations.

gears animation is bad comparing to uncharted 2.. so is the lighting

noooo, mgs4 is stilmy best gameever made. since ihave not play uncharted 2:D

No way man; both good candidates, but the best game ever is definitely MGS3.

As far as comparing U2 and GoW2 for tps goodness, its not much of a level comparison. Sure, they both have third person shooting, but Uncharted is in the spirit of an action game, whereas GoW is in the spirit of a shooter. Totally different games meant to be played for totally different effects.

I celebrated my PS3 slim with Uncharted 2 SP today and yesterday. 10 hours of
and I realized how much I love Uncharted 2 once again. I think I should not have sold Uncharted 1 after I finished it. :o I need to buy it again if I can find it for 10 bucks or so.

Yeah I am keeping these games because they are timeless. I need to re-purchase Heavy Rain also for 10-20 smokes.

I rarely have time to play games any more but the minute i started Uncharted i knew it wouldn't disappoint. I haven't fully completed a game in the past 2 or so years, but with Uncharted 1/2 i was glued to my TV for countless of hours  (kind of like when i was a kid and id go through games like crazy).

The first one is just as good as the second, they are both amazing games.

"im last years model"

If you own a PS3 these games are mandatory!
