Xbx1 or PS4 PRO

I won’t be wasting my time commenting in his threads. He literally does the opposite of what he is told.

Well I’ve bought the Xbonex but haven’t had time to set it up yet. All in it cost me £200 which I think is a fair price TBH. I get 4K gaming and an ultra HD Blu Ray player to boot so happy chappy.

Will use it mainly for sports games I can’t get on the PC such as Madden and PGA tour golf and I’ll definititaly get a racing game as I’m partial to those as well. I will cancel my Origin access I pay £3.99 pm for and set up a new EA Access account which gives me all the games available in the vault for starters.

I’m also going to look into this play anywhere from MS and see if there are any games I’ve got on the PC will also play on the Xbox as well. First time I’ve ever owned a console so looking forward to it  Let’s hope it’s easy to set up with my TV and components.

madden is coming to pc this year.. lol

You buy neither, you have a high end gaming PC. Buy yourself and Xbox One or PS4 Controller and attach it to your PC and enjoy life.

so you don't want to play games like god of war, last of us, uncharted... etc...???

I bought the PS4 Pro for the top-notch story-driven single player exclusives.

Switch is a lot of fun, but Splatoon, Metroid, and maybe Super Smash Bros aside, no other game interests me.

Xbox One X, as others have said, is best if you want to play multiplatform games at excellent (perhaps just a step or two below PC) graphics detail on your home entertainment system.

Ultimately, I think it should come down to which platform most of your friends prefer to play on. Only then will multiplayer be any kind of fun imho.

And EA are no longer making golf games, they did not renew their PGA license.

But Maddens playerbase is clearly on consoles, so IMO, one of the console versions are the way to go for that one.

lol multiplayer doesn't exist to me unless it's battlefield. lol.

Have you played a Madden recently?
I try it every few years and every few years I am disappointed to find that it is somehow even worse every time.

So everything is fine and loving the console but I have two minor gripes. WTF does it take 3 friking days to download a 75gb file??? MS store is shite I can download that in a few hours on Steam.

Finally managed to download Rory Mcilroy golf but it just gets stuck on spalsh screen. So I think I need to delete it and reinstall. Downloaded part of Battlefield 1 and it plays and TBH it looks great although I only think it uses HDR and not 4k. Notwithstanding it looks great on a 49' screen.

Another gripe is I'm not used to using a game pad for FPS like Battlefield 1. Only played an hour but it was very frustrating to say the least. I guess I'll just have to practice more and master the control.

If your talking about the windows store, yes it sucks, no idea why MS can perfect the console side and their windows side sucks so bad, you cant just quit and continue later after you turn your PC off. It really needs to do it all at once and fails half the time on top of that. And sometimes out of the blue the dam game will corrupt and you have to download 100 gig again, Although that just happened on my Xbox One X with Halo 5 and Forza 7, over 200gig download again for who knows why.

Sat down last night and fired up the XboneX and played Battlefield 1. Still struggling with the game pad controls but before I knew it I'd played for 2 hours and finished about 3 stages. Whoot well impressed and the HDR looks great on my 49' TV.

Going to download Madden 18, FIFA 17/18 and Rory McIlroy Golf and have a blast this weekend. Bring it on

Yeah EA Access. I know FIFA 17 is available and FIFA 18 is coming but not checked if it's actually there yet. Madden 18 is though.

Can’t get the one x to work with my current surround sound system. Currently I have a sky box that is connected to the tv and a Panasonic blue ray player with surround sound connected to tv through the HDMI arc input. The tv was set up for simplink and used to switch on along with the Panasonic when I switched on sky. Since plugging my one x Into tv via HDMI I only get stereo through the tv speakers and no sound output from the Panasonic. Even sound test on Panasonic doesn’t work.

Anyone got any ideas.

So it is a Panasonic home theater in a box that combines the receiver and Blu-ray player into one?

ARC has been iffy with me on some brands of components not wanting to with together at all.

A bit late to the thread, but PS4 Pro recommendation from me.
Once you add PSVR to the equation, for ~ $600 bucks for the Pro + VR can't be beat.

It's a 3D home theater system which is about 5 years old. When I bought the LG TV I spent over half an hour onto to LG support to get the surround sound working and it was fine thereafter. Plugged into ARC channel and it has worked flawlessly.

A day after I plugged the Xbox into the TV I updated the TV firmware and it seemed to bork the simplink and the surround sound. I'm off tomorrow so getting onto LG support to see if there is anyway to sort this out.

Wasn't interested in VR TBH. The 4k UHD blu ray player was far more appealing as I can watch that without having to put on a ridiculous headset. I have the Gear VR with my Samsung S8 and although it is less resolution my family said I looked a proper idiot wearing it. Enough said.
