There are really only two people who can't take KAC jokes unfortunately they are both mods....
The arguments I had with Jim though were epic and I miss them. Hell he even sent me a free AMD CPU.
KAC is a good guy, I never had any run ins with him at all, I even gave him a free Asus X99 Deluxe because he's a broke ass sexual chocolate. But I still talk to him on Steam so meh and make fun of him on Hardocp.

If his joke rub you the wrong way then there's an option to put someone on ignore. If he trolls you the wrong way, just put him on ignore. Its really that simple. Remember when Demo got banned because Shadow001 trolled him and launched personal attacks against him. Shadow001 never got banned, the only reason why is because he's pro AMD and demo sat on the fence. Shadow001 still does it to this day, but the majority of us have him on ignore.
Now if he's launching personal attacks and or threatening you in anyway which I have never seen him do. He has got angry with people but not to the extent that deserves him a ban. Hell I remember the arguments me Jim, Chris ( RIP brother ) and SirPauly used to get over AA algorithms on the old 1900xt cards when it would break out in to shouting matches. I miss those days
Just look at Omega threads, look at all the insults he gets but we do it in good fun. Its not like we try to go out of our way to treat him like ****. Ok I do.

That's the reason Jim is no longer here. To much crap and not enough help (extra mods) to curb it before it went too far. You more than likely don't know everything that transpires between the member that gets warned and the mods. Also, just singling out what happened recently seems to gloss over the fact he has been put on vacation/ban'd before. A ban isn't taken lightly. The admins are the ones that make the final call on the ban and length. Being a mod is really, really, really a thankless job. That's why most mods don't even post much if anything anymore, just so they don't have to put up with being called out every time they have to make a decision.

I know exactly what happened and I won't get in to it here as enough to derail the thread.
But we do have a lot of nancy boys on here who do report for stupid **** and those people who get reported are not always doing something wrong. Then it comes down to MOD abuse and yes there is MOD abuse on this forum. There are MOD's who shouldn't be MOD's. MOD's who stepped down because they don't want to be MOD's anymore because they were tired of the politics.
We are missing a lot of good peeps, Acroig,Demo, Jim, KAC if I could bring Chris back I would
even that asshole Dave doesn't post much anymore. Most have moved to other forums because this forum went to ****. You try to help someone and they don't like what you recommend so you get your head bit off. You joke around you get banned.

I won't get into it here but if you think you know exactly what happened without being directly involved as a mod or admin I don't know how you can say that. If you feel you are right and saw all the discussions involved please enlighten me in a pm. There were discussions involving the new mods, veteran mods and admins about what directions they wanted the forum to go moving forward. Unfortunately that rubbed a few members the wrong way. There will always be a turn over in mods due to life, stress or other things. Back on topic, I like others wish Jim would eventually come back. Hap, if you want to discuss this further we can in pm.

fair enough. be a man than hap and be specific about who you think is abusing ppl(mods) instead of making veiled and cryptic remarks.

I didn't have an issue with KAC, but seriously, if you've been warned/banned on the same type of offense several times, try not to push that envelope.
That being said, he was goaded at times. But, we're all adults, gotta move on and use ignore/report functions.
It's only when it gets genuinely harassing that problems crop up and to that end I think the mods have done a good job on R3D overall.
Some mods can get a little too personally involved in threads, but that is very few and far between and typically doesn't escalate too far.

All kidding aside, and I might be in the minority by saying so, but I hope you don't really leave. I mean that.
Oh and to the KAC apologists; yeah it was hilarious when he constantly talked about how America should be nuked, how he won't shake hands with white people because they are nasty, how freckles are a white man's disease, and how woman's only role is to be slaves to men. Hilarious I tell you.
I mean honestly, what's so ban worthy about that? Even after the 1000th warning not to keep baiting people & trolling... it's just stupid uppity (volunteer) mods that just can't take a joke. Yeah that's it.
edit: that all being said, I'd still love to see KAC back here. I just think his ban was deserved, and if he came back, he needs to listen to the mods. But he's a character, and even was kind at times - I wouldn't mind him around here again one bit

No one is forcing him to leave curio. As of this moment I have no intention of banning him despite his clear violation of the forum rules. Ill admit being called a cancer on this world is somewhat a badge of honor and not a insult! Especially considering the source of the comment.
