Cyberpunk 2077

I have come to the conclusion that I will never replay this game. I tried quite a few times and it just won't happen.

That RT overdrive video from DF tickles my fancy.

Was just gonna bring this up myself. Its pretty cool. No idea if i can run it, but damn ima try. That being said, i never noticed how many things were missing in the current rt.

I really hope thats something they can do to witcher 3 before i play it again. The difference is pretty big.

To me RT always looked weird in Cyberpunk. Reason being the disparity in different locations when using RT. The path traced RT will be a game changer but even a 4090 is going to have a bad time running it. Oh well, good that I am not locked in 4K resolution for now and can actually lower resolution and still enjoy my games.

the df video shows 59 fps with a 2090 at 4k, and 95 with dlss 3 frame generation.

4k with DLSS on Performance mode. But it is designed as a technology preview, so it will be more than good enough to take a look.

Hell it's going to kill my 7900XTX. But I hope to at least be able to turn it on, walk around and snag a screen shot or two for fun :)

Someone ran it at 9 fps on the XTX no upscaling... so about half the 4090 speed at 18fps. Seems a mixed bag some scenes lose too much lighting and sometimes looks blurier than native...

I got about the same with my 7900XTX. With FSR2 I got something like 18fps. Enough to easily take some sceenshots and etc.

Tech jesus covered it well. Showing the difference at the 18min mark (TimeStamped link)

Some comparison shots that capture some of the differences. It is definitely a mixed bag though as you walk around.

This has elements where some stuff does look better, others not so much.

This one was drastic in this random overpass. Definitely looked better here.

This guy talks a lot and repeats himself over and over. More than most women!

Yeah that's why a video that could have been 10, or under, minutes is almost 30. Being brief isn't really part of the GamersNexus lexicon, why I shared the time-stamp link. But it also absolutely 100% correct.

Pumped one mission in Cyberjunk. The RTX is real. You can see it in every place. However, it runs at 60 fps or below in most places. The latency hit w/ frame gen is worst in this game also.
Is it playable. Maybe. However, I am going to drop res to 1440P if I am going to indulge. 60 fps 4K at 40-60 ms latency is not my thang!

For me the 4K frame gen is unplayable. Too much input lag.

Runs fine on 1440P w/ frame gen and DLSS quality.

Tried Path Tracing on my 2080Ti for a "laugh". Worked ok at 1440P... if I ran DLSS Ultra Performance, which might as well have been a nicely lit 320x240 game.

Just remember, that the game wasnt designed for this, so the reason some places look great and some places look odd is pure luck. With a new game actually designed for this, it should look as amazing as severance did with its full dynamic light back in the 90's.

That being said, i do hope we see this get put into witcher 3, with its mostly open global illuminated world, and its nice interiors, with very few sky scrapers and under passes, it could be a different story.

To me the game looks dope af now. However, the stupid bugs being there really kills the immersion. I ran over like 10 individuals in my new ride and could see that they fixed absolutely nothing.
However, rain, driving around, fights etc. were fine for the most part. City at night definitely looks improved ALOT!

Started a new game and tbh it looks incredible.. all the shiny has kept me playing this pos for several hours. 4090 struggles at 4k, so run 3840x1600 DLSS Quality at around 90-100fps.
