Diablo 4 - We all have PCs

If I switch world tier does the story reset?
No. Change as many times as you want. WT2 is seen as a waste of time statistically, generally I see most people complete the story on WT1, complete the capstone dungeon on WT2, then immediately switch to WT3 around L50-ish.

Oh OK. What is capstone dungeon? Sorry I can read the internet but this might be faster. If no one wants to help I can understand.

Did the story in WT2 (found it fairly easy / normal) Been on WT3 for ages and will probably move to WT4 in another few levels (currently 63). The Capstone dungeon for WT3 is in the first main city, inside the church. It's a yellow icon on the map.

Played 80+ hours overall, 60 of those with necromancer. I still like the class and enjoy the combat mostly, but progression has really slowed and I'm going through the motions. Even paragon points are hard to come by now and they feel like small upgrades on a messy big board. So many legendary items drop, half of the are worthless, another half I'm trying to compare the aspects in them, and 0.005% of them are actually real upgrades.

I've tried all other classes. Generally had fun with all of them but Rogue and Sorcerer are probably my favorites outside Necro. Might make a new druid for s1 if I can be bothered.

PvP is unbalanced crap. World bosses and world events are spammy and dumb. Helltide is fine and they need more content like that. Dungeons are still fun enough to do, but need a few more objectives. Side missions are .... decent actually. Some have good story elements and are not too fetch tasky.Only done like half of the side missions with me necro, which is insane. Whispering tree contacts sort of keep me going for a bit since the rewards are generally good. But I'm at a stage now where my upgrades are more like sidegrades and it's really slow going. Almost like hitting a wall but I think a better description would be just walking through molasses. Might put this game away for a bit and come back to it now and then. I don't want to burn myself out on it and tbh I think this game is best played slowly.

Gold drops should scale with the max level char on your account. Otherwise the gold drops on low level characters is worthless? I have like 15 million gold shared across accounts, so what's the point of picking up 20 gold coins? Lower tier items are not quite as worthless because you can at least get materials for salvaging them and these can be used for upgrades even top-tier gear, but gold should scale imo

Just so you know, legendary items are not anything special in d4. The item system is different from d3. Legs are just rares that dropped with an aspect already on them. Unlike in other games where legs are the apex item.

You should have a priority quest for the first one, it is located in the cathedral in the main town.

I think I already did that but at WT1. It showed up as a quest to do after meeting the tree.

Oh well, I will indulge over the weekend if I need to re do it at WT2.

Changed to World Tier 2 and went in the Capstone w/ level 49. Curator boned my ass 3 times. I had to go to office. This mofo is going down next time I am there. Mother f...

On WT4 and just 100 percent the side quests. Level 79 now, it’s definitely a much bigger grind than D3.

Most of the stuff on the season pass seems pretty lame tbh. Will play a bit more though. Doing a druid for s1

I am glad they removed the level minimum requirements for going all over the map though.

Not touching seasons, don't really see the point, still working on the eternal toon, 82 heading to infinity.....

I gave up after level 51 or some such. Ain’t nobody got time for clickity clack.

Is the extra content from season 1 going to be incorporated into the eternal realm?

no. they specifically said this one wasnt, and most wont. However they will maybe add some stuff in the fiture.

Pretty rediculous really. I wouldnt want this one to be anyway. the hearts or whatever are nice to have, but the mechanic sucks. They had better put the boss in the base game though.

Just out of curiosity, what about it do you like? Also have you played other arpgs? Which ones? What also do you not like about d4?

Well, first of all, it is miles better than D3. Loot no longer tied to an AH (comparing release versions here, I know D3 got fixed a lot since then). Game has a lot more activity going on. Combat feels great. Not too fast but not too slow either. Loving the graphics, art and animations. Great music. Attention to detail is great on cosmetics that I don't feel the need to bother with paid skins (not that I ever do generally).

It isn't too complex but has enough depth. I ain't looking for an +800 hour experience. So far the game got me interested to play a season and create a character from scratch. Preseason I played Necro now in S1 I play Druid. Also having friends helps a lot. It is that kind of game that is enjoyed while with friends on discord or solo (for a quick run or on steam deck).

I struggled a bit with the repetitiveness of it. I think I put it down in my mid 30's and haven't gave it a go since. Maybe after I finish BG3 I'll try again.

give path of exile a go instead. Its got a bunch of alternative things to do, so whenever you feel like you have played too much of one thing, there is a dozen others you can try. d4 doesnt have an end game yet. Once you complete the campaign and side quests, it really doesnt have anything else to do.

91 now but it’s a struggle to continue just to get to 100. Very repetitive and super slow moving the level bar. Definitely would never touch seasons on this Diablo.
