Final Fantasy VII Remake

Played the full version for a bit last night. I didn’t get too far past the demo but I like the game.

Music, gameplay, etc. are great. Story changes are whatever. It’s a remake, not a re-do.

The full orchestral music is sooooooo good. I've had a grin on my face the entire time I've been playing. My nephew is completely hooked watching me play with his bean bag chair, blanket, and juice box. He loved the motorcycle stuff.

Oh yeah dude. Playing with a full surround sound setup (calibrated, etc.)...that opening sequence literally gave me goosebumps. The sound is amazing.

It is one of those amazing traits about music how it all comes back to you with only a couple of notes.

Or when Barrett starts yelling "dun dun dun duuuh dun dun dun daaa daaa daaaa!"

This game is amazing. I've put about a dozen hours into it already.

I have never played these FF gay games. I have FF15 downpumped on Xbox and PC. Worth playing? I also don’t like JRPGs btw. And I don’t like turn based combat either.

I just hope the 2nd installment of it isn't too far behind, considering that this is only like 1/6th of the actual game...... :bleh:

If you don't like JRPGs then no, stay away from this game. It's basically a pure JRPG through and through. At least from what I've seen so far.

Decided I could stay up till about 3am to play it last night. Had to convince myself to shut it off and go to bed at 5:20.

I saw you online racking up the trophies.

One of the complaints I heard was that summons can’t be used enough. I literally had my first in a sidequest in ch3  There’s a ton of hate out there because the story is not 1:1 with the original. Who gives a damn. I think the game is brilliant.

Started playing last night, 6 hours in, game is absolutely fantastic. I did not play the original. HDR on the oled is just wow. My only complaint is The Occasional low quality textures.

Given it is a hack and slash which is a style of play I like, worth indulging in it?

From what I read it's due to the memory pool they set for the game (developer thinks it's because of the pc version porting to ps4. It can be fixed with adjustments to the memory pool setting, it's just if square Enix is even aware or cates about it.

Anyway clearing side quests in the slums and so far this game is amazing.

I don't know what crack people are smoking but this is exactly how I'd want a remake of ff7 to be, and it's so nice to visit places I have in my memory.of playing the original and seeing it in much more detail.

Don’t day that. I was “asked” to move it to the bedroom TV so I would still be in bed if I say up playing all night and that TV doesn’t have HDR.

Dude, you gotta play in HDR. So pretty

Game should definitely be played in HDR the particle effects make it absolutely amazing

Had me worried I was going to have to brace for the fight of moving it to the OLED or the X27 for HDR but watched an HDR review from HDTVTEST that made me feel a lot better when they offered at the end that it was pretty much the same and overall probably better viewed in SDR for better consistency.

glad I didn't skip any sidequests, seems to unlock more character specific scenes if you do them all.

You mean...

The scene with Tifa, helping her choose which outfit?

Be aware that there is a latter area you will have to play though more than once to see all choices. Completing all side quests will trigger one outcome, none another, some a different one. If you are trying to 100% that is. If not, plow the roads and do’em all
