Yep its the outside which is glossy, and my pictures really arn't the best to show it off. HOWEVER to tell its there look at the first pic then look at the part where the GBA slot is you can see the reflection of the bed in there. I tried taking better pics last night but my hand was moving too much and every pic came out blury :(.
 
Just a thought here, but if I manage to get an import of the DS Lite, it's not region encoded, right? I just want to make sure that I'm going to be able to play my games.
 
out of interest who did you import it through. Im in the UK to and am interested in ordering one for myself. Also how much did you pay and how long did you have to wait for it?.

Nope its region free, the only thing you will need to worry about is the voltage your country uses. The UK for instance has everything running at 220V while the DS lite runs at 110V so you will need a Stepdown convertor, as well as the DS lite to be able to charge the unit.

It seems now that both of these colours are back in stock. I ordered from the 13th of feb, but untill recently they are back in stock. White is still hard to get so if you want one very soon you will need to get one of those 2 colours in the link.

Oh and just to warn you, there is a good chance you will be hit by custom here. You're talking £20 give or take added onto the price. However atm i think i may have dodged it as i have no letter yet (crosses fingers).

Oh if you do the DHL method of transport £20, you will get the unit in about 2 days. It got sent off on monday and was here wednesday morning. Not bad since it got shipped from hongkong. Now going by that you'd think the Royal Mail would be able to get stuff to you as fast... but thats a whole other can of worms :bleh:

So how's the viewing angle? Couldn't really tell from the picture, looked like the flash washed out the bottom screen image. Did you get it from Like-Sang?(<spelling whatever)
 
Viewing angle is pretty good, not perfect if you like hold it to its side and try to play. But no one plays like that :nuts:.

i'm just going to hold out for the us release so i dont' have to worry about any possible incompatibility.

euro users would probably be better off importing, though.

Especially when there's likely going to be a New Super Mario Bros bundle.
It's one of the reasons why I cancelled when lik-sang upped the price to
$199 US (the other was I was ticked off with the "eta unknown" as well
as the price is too high in canadian bucks when you think of shipping and
all that crap).

I'm so glad Sir_Baron got his, though, as he's in a region that constantly gets
the shaft when it comes to release dates.

Yeah we got Animal crossing about 1 or 2 years after America :nuts:. I love nintendo's games and products but they don't love us back :cry: :lol:.

Though hopefully with the REV it will be out roughly the same time, otherwise i'll be pissed. Well at least microsoft and Sony care :bleh::up:

Yeah i also agree too with the US guys, i suppose if you have the money to burn, otherwise just wait a month.

I bought a US GC from them back before they were available in the UK. I didn't have to provide that information then. It's actually not dodgy if you think about it. It's simply to verify that you have the card for the number you are supplying them, and that you didn't just write it down from somewhere else.

There's nothing bad they can do with that extra information that they couldn't already do without it.
