Rage3dD seems as dead as a door nail.

Problem is the forum population aged, and new blood was never brought in, or at least at such a rate that a reasonable level of activity can't be realized.

I'll admit as well that the new forum is shocking, and taking us right to it by skipping the main page is also shocking. True, the main page seldom updated but still... this isn't reddit!

Just defaulting to a scheme matching the old one would to some degree would help. But I do understand that may not be easy!

New interface is slow/clunky and I don't really like the look sorry to say, so I just haven't been logging in as much lately. Been visiting Rage3D for two decades and I guess I got really used to the old school forum interface. Truly miss it.

Also, no more user system specs button?

Yes, the E peen tab is gone. Sad days on the forum now.

Well things always change; it is the way of the world.
 
I can deal with the new look, the fact that the forum feels like it is under a DDOS attack 24/7 bothers me the most.

I mean, this post took ~30 seconds to register, that is bad enough in order to discourage you from posting at all IMO.
 
The new interface is definitely slower than the old one, but it's not that much slower. It maybe takes a second or two to load stuff sometimes.

The more annoying thing is that clicking on a thread takes you to the first page. You have to click on the latest post to get to the last one.

Writing posts is slow as hell though.
 
I don't mind the interface (I do miss the old rage too). But posting is SUPER slow... (took 5 seconds to post this)
 
To be fair, we all lived in a different world back then.

Graphics cards were more affordable and people can easily be more enthusiastic about the hobby.

Nevermind nearly all of us reaching the age of being dads and moms with teenagers... yeah I know.
