RTX 3090 Reviews

Many games show a healthy boost over the 3080, like Metro Exodus and Ghost Recon Wildlands. Other games not so much.

Expect an average of 10 fps (not percentage) over the 3080 at 4k.

Whether that's worth the cost is up to you.

When I was saying 10% everyone was like wah wah you are wrong. Stupid ****s.

I feel like this is a really generous spin.

WHEW, now I can go read some reviews and not have my anxiety flying through the roof! Snagged a PNY GeForce RTX 3090 24GB XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X so now can go read reviews in a relaxed manner.

Yes, I know that's backwards. I know what the reviews are gonna say though, yadda, yadda, not great for gaming, yadda, yadda, killer for content creation, yadda, yadda... I never doubted how it would perform, and also think many driver updates are to come that will make gaming on 3090 a little more worthwhile. I mainly need this beast for that 24Gb to load textures while modding.

How so? It's 10fps faster than a 3080 in pretty much most games at 4k if you look at the benchmarks. Sometimes more, sometimes a little bit less. But 10fps seems to be the norm. All the benchmarks show this.

Whether or not it's worth more than double the price is up to you.

This thing is a physical behemoth. Make sure you have a full-size case and a separate dedicated power supply.

3090 Strix OC is a solid 19% faster than 3080:

I'm just not liking that $1800 price tag and 480w power consumption though.

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that this morning. No clue where they got that number from Because their reviews clearly show 16% at 4k. It's only 3%, but still. The lower resolutions are lower yet, so it's not like it's an average. Just funny is all.

Congratulations, Man.
