I have not done a non-boss in 1-1 - ill try to figure that out/find it. I think i did the white world tendency stuff at least.
I agree, +4 seem enough but im running out of chunks too, atm i cant upgrade any other quality weapon to +3 or 4 other than my claymore
Was thinking about the uchi so I have a fast weapon too.World 5-2 has this area with 3 large club swinging dudes in the swamp (where you cannot roll) and 3 items or so lie there. I want, but i die to them constantly.
Luckily I found the shortcut before jumping down there

To access that non-boss, you need a key that may or may not be available to you, yet. It's tied to a certain quest line which is pretty easy to follow, but certain failures in following the quest line make the key impossible to get. It's not a world tendency event. If I remember correctly, you can get the key at 1-4, or earlier if you have murderous tendencies.

There are videos in youtube, I think that I've linked them here also at some point. I think that some data has been found on the game files, and it's been extracted. It has basic geometries and so on, it would have been a giant castle.
When the Monumental tells the background lore, he/she/it tells what the dlc would have been. There are six archstones, one of which is broken. It would have lead to the land of some giants. I've no idea if there ever was a version of the land that would have been releasable.
maybe From is saving it to re-release as a Remastered ..
It's A Sony decision. Miyazaki said he'd do it, but also that it may go to another dev as well. No official word from Sony other than a cryptic release of a box art cover when Bloodbornes dlc was released.
As much as a cash cow the DaS series and BB have been, Sony would be crazy to not get DeS back out there. It could be in the works for all we know right now.
Agreeing with lviz too. I'd buy that dlc for the original if ever released.
You can play it through PS Now if you create a Japanese account and are willing to rent to stream. I understand it's lag free but for the cut scenes.

Oh wow, never knew about that. I never played DeS (didn't own a PS3
) but would love to play it if it was available on the PS4.I completely agree. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the works (or at least a Remaster). I wouldn't be too interested in another dev doing a DeS/DaS game, but BB didn't turn out bad at all without Miyazaki, so maybe that fear is unfounded.

I agree lol. Dummies. I'm going to wind up playing it again for sure, but funny enough, I'm not sure I want a remaster just yet. There's just something perfect about DeS that the other games have never touched imo. World tendency is awesome, the journey to each boss is usually harder than the boss...don't know, it's just pure awesome in it's own way.
I bet a remaster would be sweet, but it would be like playing DaS 3 in a different setting. Even though Fromsoft did indeed bring some of DeS into DaS3. That was cool.

Got some hours in yesterday. Finished world 5, did white world stuff too (had to wiki it). I finished world 1 too, every boss i've killed on first try since old hero - having 30 vit seems a bit "op" on NG perhaps. I got crammed into a corner fighting false king Allant when he did his explosion attack and i thought for sure i was going to die... but nope, about 25% hp left. But the bastard stole a level from me!!! My str is disgustingly at 39 instead of 40 now Thats a cool mechanic I havent seen in the other souls games. Also killed old king doran, but for that i needed my dragon bone smasher - each hit would send him into the ground and give me time to heal when need be. Took a few tries before i finally could kill him.
A not cool mechanic is that after i did all that, I can not level up anymore. I'm running around with 150k souls that i want to level up with (thats 5 levels right there!) Ive missed a few things, like Biorr, totally forgot that door. I'll check if I can save him now or if he is just gone. Some chracter called Yuria I havent seen anywhere. I havent killed any of the dragons in world 1 and I think im too late for that now.
But wow, great game (I guess I only have one final boss battle left). I would instantly buy a remaster on PC if they made one. Just to enjoy pvp in it and see the game in high resolution. Game does feel a tad shorter than the other souls games but that was fine.
I think I'll finish the game later today. Will probably jump to the DS3 DLC2 after this as I havent touched that yet. Or maybe consider NG+ or replay as a mage in Demon souls.

It might have been just me, but NG+ in Demons Souls was much tougher than NG+ in any other souls game. Then again I had the world tendency at pure black as well.
Come to think of it, I'm still not sure I got every item that game offers. Being an OP mage would help a lot.

How cheap is dirt cheap? I have a PS3 fat model (non-PS2 backwards compatible) that I would pretty much just give you (or trade for retro games
) if you could meet me in Waltham sometime. I just don't have any controllers for it and I still need to test it to make sure its working and to reset it to factory default. No reason to think it wouldn't be working BTW, someone I know gave it to me since they never use it and they didn't report any issues.
