So you're saying R600 will be with us in November?

Actully AMD is making R600 a secondary concern when this buy out is done. So if AMD has ATI before the R600 is tapped out you may be waiting awhile. AMD wants to concentrate on there K8L and use there more advnced fabs for it.

Interesting, have a source?

OK, but I would not put too much faith in that. The R600 is not scheduled to be made at AMD fabs so I think its premature to assume a delay.

What's this? candle_86 (the new omega 53) spreading FUD about ATI? No, I don't believe that

First and foremost, R600 has already taped out. In fact, it taped out *before* G80. ATI could launch products based on it right now if they wanted to paper launch it.

Haha, those words alone make either product worthless at this stage. ;)

Has anybody thought it might be the same person? He certainly isn't here for any other reason then to spread FUD.

I thought about that too, but he did register a few months ago, long before the recent rash of omegas. Regardless of who he is, his intentions here are clear. He's spreading BULLSHIT about ATI.

No im not the same person, but this forum is biased to the exterme and ppl asking for advice could stand to know the other side. Some of yall would recomend a x1300 over a 7900GTX i think.

So you're counting perceived bias with bias 10 times worse and outright lies?

What are you, 12?

Candle:

This clearly shows you don't know what you're talking about. I myself have a 7800GTX in my main rig and many others here (including a mod or two) have nV hardware as well.

Please, refrain from the bs? :hmm:

We HAVE lives, unlike you. Shaidar and I are PROFESSIONALS in this industry, son. Looking in my sig you can SEE the lack of bias in my purchasing. You've done nothing but spread FUD. Grow up or go away. Your wearing out your welcome here among the other users.

You shot your credibility in the face when you said that ^^.

The world and their dog knows that ATI are going to continue to use the same fabs for a good while to come. Therefore there is no shortage of production capability for ATI's previously (i.e. before AMD+ATI became a reality) roadmapped parts.

Yep, TSMC and UMC I believe make all of ATI's chips? AMD isn't going to start fabbing ATI chips for another year or more. MAYBE some chipsets, but that would be it. No GPU's from AMD fabs for at least a year, maybe more...

Yep short term to mid term that isn't going change. Even long term most likely because AMD will need a new fab to increase capacity after the one in NY is done. With the NY fab they will have just enough to supply Dell and previous supply needs.
