Need for Speed Heat

I'd buy a Porsche Unleashed remake. I finally gave up trying to get it to run on Win 10. Man I loved that game.

I forgot this game even existed... probably one of the bigger duds this year. No impact what-so-ever.

No nfs game has had a large impact for a long time now, why would you think this is any different? Hell, probably the last hot pursuit was the last big impact, with the last most wanted being the a large bump for some.

This Latino Taco Bell up Megaman’s ass edition was done really bad. The whole story mode was utter nonsense. The only thing good about it was the new double tap to skid mechanic. I do like my double taps just ask Megaman’s mum.

Other than that the game does some things really well like having Carbon like sprint races at night, police chases that are decent, some cool circuits as well including some technical ones (lol) and some decent cars.

However given I never had enough money I played the whole game with like 3 cars all of which were free in the deluxe edition. Ultimately my Corvette was a drift, off road, and track vehicle. I didn’t spend a single minute in customization as well and towards the end the Rep grind was real.

Net net, it could have been a great game but was stalled by stupid day/night choice mechanic, not sufficient cash available and some repeat race tracks and grind that didn’t need to exist.

I give it an 8/10 overall. It was different enough to indulge and get my money’s worth out of the EA pass I bought for this and Star Wars game.

I really want them to remake a game in the spirit of Need for Speed II. Racing exotic vehicles in pretty, exotic locales.

i.e. the best of what you'd imagine driving to be.

Btw I am boning now NFS payback and it is surprising to see how much better it is compared to Heat.

The game really was ****ed by EA and their micro transaction and speed cards for upgrade bullshit. Otherwise everything about it is better considering the driving model is exactly the same with the exception of double tap to drift.

Better story, better graphics, better cars, better and very much exact copy paste of Forza Horizon series mechanics. Heck even AA is better and game looks sharper than Heat does. Anyways I will continue playing Payback as I am enjoying it quite a bit. Until I get to the grind which seems a way out for now.

^I've said the exact same thing about Payback. The randomized upgrade cards are awful, as are the loot crates. Everything else about the game is outstanding for an arcade racer. They did a fantastic job on the map and the storyline/campaign isn't bad.

What surprised me is how bad the AA is in NFS Heat vs Payback. Plus the map in Heat seems like a joke after playing Payback. I already uninstalled Heat and am continuing with Payback for now.
