Need for Speed Heat

I'll take a risk on Heat when it goes on sale.

Bought it for $4 or something when it was on sale last week. The DLC for unlocking all the collectibles/activities on the map was on sale for free as well.

It's pretty good.

The Night driving captures the Dying Light (1) feel of trying to get to a safehouse without getting caught, and the relief when you finally get there. At night, after a few successful escapes from the cops you might need to get repairs. You realistically with complete real immersion get repaired to 100% by driving through a gas station, but it's limited at night to 3 repairs.

Were there NFS games where your car could get damaged to the point where it would no longer run since Porsche Unleashed? If so, I don't remember that element since Porsche Unleashed. Most Wanted 2014 had tires that went flat but they'd inflate themselves after a time.

I'm not liking the plethora of "s**t"-bombs from the in-game dialogue.

Map itself isn't incredibly interesting. It reminds me more of TDU 2 than any other NFS game, but much smaller. There are landmarks but they seem to be at the edges of the map more than a part of it.

Not sure if I should post this here or in the deals thread.... The McLaren F1 DLC is free on Origin and Steam right now. If on Origin and it asks for a credit card number, pick PayPal instead and it will walk you through the purchase whether you have PayPal or not. Steam is much easier.

 thanks for the heads up gai

Any of y'all tried out Heat 2.0 AKA NFS: Unbound, and if you have, is it worth renting through EA play premium deluxe PRO?

Also, am I the only one who have seen zero marketing for it?

I think you are. They marketed the hell out of it on Steam, was oart of the NFS Heat for $5 with all DLC free deal.

I can't speak for Unbound. I think I saw KAC said something about Reddit saying something it in another thread.

This is an AAA game though, they have not really done a proper marketing campaign for Unbound, some space on the the frontpage of steam isn't much if you compare it to how EA usually market their games.

Maybe they just realised that they didnt need to, and are trying to see how much more they make if they just keep the marketing budget for themselves.
