Red Dead Redemption.

I really don't care for the western movies, settings, etc, but as a game it would a unique experience. Lets hope it hits pc.
 
What up with this game? Wasn't Read Dead something an aweful game? Why all the hype for this one? Wha's it about?

Red Dead Revolver supposedly sucked, yes. This is being developed in the same house. It does have me a little worried.

However, this one is open world while the last one was not (as far as I know), and after watching a ton of videos Red Dead Redemption seems to have the same polish & shine as GTA IV does.

:lol: how many times do you have to be disappointed to remember not to believe all the pre-release hype about any game these days? Sometimes I think we deserve to be lied to :nuts:.

True. I just don't see how this will be better than GTA4 especially since there are no cars. Horse riding can get old real quick aka Oblivion or Ass Creed.

What? The last two games I was hyped up about were Fallout 3 and Grand Theft Auto IV. Neither disappointed. Heck, the last game I remember being hyped about that utterly failed was an indie game called SeeD or something like that which just didn't have the funds and resources to really become successful.

This is a RockStar game and the videos show it has been paid the same level of attention to detail as GTA IV so I really don't see it utterly failing. Sure, it may be meh, but for basically $40 on Amazon it's worth the risk.

There's more than horse riding as well. There's coaches, trains, and good ol' walking. In my second replay of GTA IV I found myself walking, taking taxis, and using the trains more instead of just stealing cars like crazy to immerse myself more into the world. It made it a lot more interesting. Plus there's supposedly a lot of attention being paid to the horse-back riding since it is such a large portion of the game, that it will hopefully be a fun experience. I mean really, what's the difference between controlling a car and a horse in a video game? You're just using a joystick either way. :lol:

this can be a goty canditate
but to be honest, i really dont' feel like to play thsi on console.
pc version looks just 1000000000000000000000x times better

Any idea when the pc version releases?

Edit - I've been watching allot of the gameplay mechanic videos and am liking what I'm seeing. The free-roam mp looks like it will be
allot of fun. You can play cards at the saloon together or go on a hunt. Guess I'll have to go and pre-order the damn thing now :).

So, which platform ?
Until now I'm kinda used to get exclusives for the PS3 and multiplatform titles on the 360 (unless, of course, the game has a PC version), but I'm undecided about this one.
Does Rockstar favor any specific platform in terms of visuals/framerate ?
 
I'm not about to wait 6 months for the PC version. I'll get that too, but I want to play it in the meantime.
 
I'm goin' with the PS3 version since that's all I have (wouldn't trust my PC to run it even if it came out the same day), and you should too so we can play multimanches.
 
I can see it now. A posse of ragers doing their best to re-enact Brokeback Mountain while being chased by angry bears.
