Stupidly thinking about an upgrade, need advice

You could probably snag the cpu upgrade cheap used through Craigslist or Facebook market place.

EDIT: Can't read

I'm not a fan of buying used stuff like that, I just don't trust people. I'm gonna get everything new, it's only $260 new.

I was just thinking from an availability perspective as well. But fair enough, I wasn't super comfy when I snagged a used 4770k earlier this year. Turned out perfectly ok, but I totally get it.

CPUs and Mobos are plentiful. They have tons between my store, Queens, and Brooklyn. I was actually surprised how readily available, 10th gen, 11th gen, and Ryzen 5000's are.

Some gay on Hard is selling 3070 for 950 or 3070 Ti for 1050. Maybe you can negotiate and nab one.

Brand new cards.

Moment of silence for those of us without a Microcenter in our region.

Thanks for looking out my man. Got an email this morning that my Credit Card was charged, so I called Adorama and they said they were shipping it out today. Just got the email with tracking number 10 minutes ago.

On the GPU front they've been useless, but it's not their fault. Still gonna try and cop a Founder's Edition 3070Ti or 3080 from Best Buy next week, but I'm not expecting anything.

Make sure you make update rig pics

Of course. Probably won't be built till end of next week. GPU should be getting here around Monday/Tuesday, and I will probably be ordering the PSU and AIO from Newegg tomorrow. Rest of the stuff I'll pick up from Microcenter probably early next week as well.

so it's a whole rebuild?

It was always going to be a full rebuild. Only thing I'm taking from my current rig is the 7 month old 32GB of RAM, and my 6 month old 2TB Samsung SSD.

Current system is getting my old GTX 970, and the original 16GB RAM Set I purchased when I built it and I may wind up giving it to my SIL.

OK, here is the final build. Should have it assembled later today.

MSI MPG Gungnir 111M Case
SeaSonic Focus GX-750
MSI Z590 MAG Tomahawk
Intel Core i7 11700K
2x16GB Corsaire Vengeance LPX 3200 (From current setup)
1TB Intel 670p NVMe
2TB Samsung 870 EVO (From current setup)
PNY GeForce RTX 3070 XLR8 Gaming REVEL Epic-X

Would have went with a little more pricy case but meh if you like it then i hope it's easy enough to build in. I put my gf's in a coolermaster TC500 and i think it looks beautiful. Except for the cramped assed psu area it was fine.

Congrats !

That looks like a tight build and you actually listened to some of the suggestions. Must be a first at R3D.
Later on you can throw in a DDR 4000 ram or something.
